Unfortunately, we will not be hosting a ‘Snow in June’ Ride this year. We are still offering individual guided trail riding weekends and/or clinics for small groups of 4-10 people. Please contact us if you are interested in scheduling something. The date for our ‘Annual Fall’ Ride has not yet been determined. Please check back for that information. We wish everyone a healthy and safe 2022!

Annual Fall Ride
Date to be determined
Ride the high country without leaving Virginia!! Located in scenic Highland County, VA. We are less than 2 hours from Charlottesville and an hour from Harrisonburg. Bring your camera, our views are breathtaking!! Experience the spirit of the West, stars so close it feels like you could touch them, trails and views that keep getting better with each turn of the trail! A portion of the proceeds will go to McDowell Volunteer Fire Department. Hope to see you there!!
All trails are self guided, ride at your own pace, for as long as you’d like! Trails are well marked with ribbons, with separate rides for each day. Prior to the beginning of each ride, your host will tell you about the trail and what to expect. All times are given at a pleasure pace. We encourage you to take time to enjoy the spectacular views! Our trails have received rave reviews! Enjoy all that this beautiful ranch and Mother Nature have to offer!
Friday, enjoy a short (2-3 hour) ride, followed by an authentic cowboy dinner at the "Cook Shack", then sit back and enjoy the tall tales and friendship around the campfire.
Saturday will start with a hearty breakfast, and then it’s out on the trail for panoramic views from the ridges, beautifully maintained wooded trails and wildlife galore on trails that are not open to the public, except for this ride! There is a short (2-3 hour) or a long (5-5 1/2 hr) ride. Lunch is provided on the trail. After your ride, share in the gorgeous sunset view from the ranch house porch or a soak in the hot tub. There is always the possibility of an evening horsemanship demonstration. Once again, as night falls, the campfire will bring out the opportunity to share in the experience of the day, forge new friendships, share in the cowboy spirit, and enjoy some musical entertainment.
Sunday morning you’ll enjoy another big breakfast before riding out on our beautiful trails once again. You and your horse will have the opportunity to explore the views from Jesus Knob, one last time before heading home
There are several options for camping – beautiful wooded campsites, complete with 12’x12’ wooden corrals ("The Campsite"), parking with electric hookups ("The Barn"), camping at the barn in your trailer without a hookup, camping beside or in the private corrals or pastures for your horse(s). For those not wishing to rough it – there are rustic cabins available, as well as two guest rooms in the main ranch house. There’s plenty of room for you to set up electric pens or a picket line. We also have stalls, corrals and pastures available for your horses. The pastures are suitable for groups of horses that are accustomed to pasturing together and will be "private use" pastures for your horse(s) only. If you prefer, there are stalls available in our modern, well kept barn.
Meals included – Friday dinner; Saturday: breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Sunday: breakfast. Drinks and snacks provided throughout the weekend.
Shower & restroom facilities are available. Port-a-potties and outhouses are in each camp area. Dogs are welcome on a leash BUT are absolutely not permitted on the trail.
