At Bull Pasture Mountain Ranch there is
a little something for everyone who loves the great outdoors. Our family
owned dude ranch offers the following activities:
Horseback Riding
Ride through beautiful meadows and quiet wooded areas
on private ranch land or into near by National Forests. Ride steady,
mountain wise, horses guided by outfitter, Jim Finigan. Jim has over
20 years of experience riding in the National Forests of Virginia, West
Virginia, Maryland and Wyoming.
Ride our horses or bring your own; corrals, stalls, or private pastures
are available for those bringing their own horses.
A current NEGATIVE
COGGINS is required, without exception, for anyone bringing their own
horse.
*** It is our policy that riders must be 16 years old. For children under the
age of 16, we offer rides in the safety of our indoor arena.
Hiking
Breathe in fresh mountain air as you explore on foot a variety of terrain on private ranch land or plan a trip into one of the nearby
National Forests. On the ranch, visit 3 small ponds or our own small
cave.
Fishing
Cast your line into a variety of local rivers, streams, and
ponds. The near by Bull Pasture and Cow Pasture rivers are very well
known for great fly-fishing.
Swimming
Just a short drive away and a walk across a suspended bridge to a natural gorge, complete with rope swing.
Hot Tubbin'
Soak your muscles and relax after a long day in the saddle in our ‘state
of the art’ Hot Tub strategically placed on a secluded hill side.
During daylight, enjoy the beautiful, mountain views, or the vast,
star lit sky in the evenings.
